Sam,
Below this memo is a button to provide a crude look at interface elements--for discussion regarding a final spec. The first page is an intro page which can be anything you want. Then just click on that page and subsequent pages to run through the linear choices. The user will hit a "RACE" button on last page (the navigation buttons aren't added yet). The default plan is to use the launcher software--already fully developed--from Assetto Corsa. We would just use their tools to select the desired functionality and add our media assets (content, aka primarily images). So, dev time could be less than one calendar week from the time we have your sign-off on functionality, including time to interact with your folk on tweaks. It's the simplest part of the entire project. We'd like to go through this with you on the phone/Zoom or in person and ultimately work with you on the final navigation. Other stuff can be added and anything can be subtracted. Choices along the way will determine what's on subsequent menus. For instance, after picking skill level, that could determine what cars are available (you won't give an F1 racer to a beginner), then the car affects what tracks to choose (NASCAR cars get banked ovals, road cars get road courses, etc.--also skill level can affect track selection). We can discuss all the other options--easy stuff. A revised quote can be found here and also by clicking the button below (just click on the browser back button to return here). I left the terms for discussion as they will vary depending on how you want to proceed. But advances would only be to cover our up front costs. Also I stated a money-back guarantee--unconditional--but just want us both comfortable that if we do what we say we'll do we'll not have an issue. Regarding the demo, we can bring the prototype in the form discussed for you to test by Monday March, 21. It's possible we could bring it by this Friday--or over the weekend if you prefer. I did reach out to the actuator supplier. They are based in Poland and I have not heard back but I will call them Monday morning. We do, however, have enough actuators to produce one full system so 4-6 weeks should be easy--perhaps sooner if needed. I will determine timing of the additional actuators asap--the last news was 10 weeks to ship--we could assemble the system in two days once received.
